The rock, the yacht, and the whisper you keep ignoring

The Rock. The Whisper. The Vision.

This morning, I returned to my favorite rock at the beach.

I’ve stood here with my oldest, dearest friends. I come when the usual Sunday beach is too crowded. I come when I need to reset — and remember what really matters.

From here, I look out across the lake. I remember the first time I sat on this rock and watched a yacht glide by. I imagined myself on it.

And I realized: I was dreaming too small.

It’s so easy to get consumed by routines, by worries, by the minutiae of life. We forget the vastness of what’s possible. We forget who we’re becoming. We lose sight of the yacht — the bigger vision — and get tangled in the to-do list.

But purpose doesn’t stop calling.
Waves keep rolling in.
That whisper you keep hearing? It won’t quiet down until you finally sit still long enough to listen.

The invitation is always there.
To return.
To remember.
To get out of your own way.

So today, I sat.
I listened.
I imagined myself back on that yacht. And I remembered — it’s closer than I think.

Where is your rock?
Where do you go to reset, dream bigger, and hear the whisper again?

If you don’t have a place, find one.
If you haven’t been in a while, go back.
It’s time.

With light and longing for what’s possible,

Tamara

What if Purpose is the Real Fountain of Youth? It was the kind of conversation that stays with you. One insight, in particular, keeps echoing in my heart: “I feel like I’m getting younger every day—because my life is filled with purpose.” Let that land for a moment. It is for me. This is dangerous, emotionally...

The Power of “What If” “What and if are two words as non-threatening as words can be.
